You are responsible for promoting tracked vehicle propulsion solutions to European OEMs and associated defense customers, cultivating relationships, and ensuring growing of the business in armored combat vehicle and electric hybrid applications. You collaborates with government representatives, OEMs, and internal teammates such as Business Proposal writers, Defense Engineers, MSS EMEA Leadership and Account Managers, and European Channel members necessary to be an expert in the European defense market in order to achieve growth objectives.Key Responsibilities
Strong analytical and technical skills with specific focus on armored combat vehicle propulsion solutions to inform the Defense Programs staff on how to best meet business objectives;Acts as lead, coordinating the work of the cross functional team, in large program (+100 million per year) capture strategy to provide innovative concepts and recommendations from Concept Development, Design Validation, Production, Delivery, and Life Cycle Support. Support assigned OEM’s during the requirements development, program development/approval, capture, propose, contract and execution phases of all selected programs;Develop program timelines which account for required ATI approvals, lead times, and budget cycles. Schedule these events for internal reviews and approvals at the beginning of the program;Mentor and train other Account Managers on tracked vehicle products, capture pricing and strategy development, relationship building, regional cultural awareness, and ATI decision-making/approval processes;Manage significant and unique issues or special projects in addition to Account Manager portfolio including working autonomously within established procedures and practices;Support the defense product portfolio technical road map with the Voice of the Customer’s requirements to inform product sustainment, advanced features, and new product information; Monitor multiple media sources and create media releases to further ATI growth objectives;Proactively identify, define, and solve complex problems that impact the direction of the business and management decisions with medium term risk associated with outcomes. Provide well thought out and thoroughly researched analysis, assessment, recommendations, and assumptions early and often in support of the decision-making processes;Maintain close coordination and regular communications with Middle East Channel, regional Ministry of Defense armaments officials, American Interoperability/Acquisition officials in European-based HQs, US Embassy personnel in the European region and Regional Defense Officials operating from their embassies in the U.S.;Develop and maintain knowledge and compliance with ATI policies, ATI procedures, departmental procedures, ITAR/EAR requirements and methods of conducting business with Government personnel;Travel requirements up to 50+%.
